High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens only had one friend growing up

Vanessa Hudgens dated Zac Efron

Vanessa Hudgens has revealed she was bullied growing up.

The High School Musical star, 22, had a difficult time being accepted when she was a teenager because she was very shy.

‘I had one friend growing up and I got teased for my big, curly, frizzy hair,' Vanessa tells Metro.

‘This girl used to always grab me by my hair say ‘frizzhead' and sort of throw me down. It was almost abusive now that I think about it.'
