Denise Van Outen: Johnny Vaughan and I haven't spoken since I left Capital FM

Denise hasn't heard from Johnny once since leaving his breakfast show

Denise Van Outen had her first baby last year

Denise Van Outen and Johnny Vaughan were once great mates working together on Channel 4's Big Breakfast, but now they're no longer in touch.

After their amazing on-screen chemistry in the 90s, Denise was invited to join Johnny on his Capital FM Breakfast Show in 2008.

But Denise left the show early, just half way through her contract.

'He wasn't happy that I joined in the first place, he made it quite clear,' she claims.

'So I felt a bit uncomfortable being there.'

Denise, who's now mum to baby daughter Betsy, 11 months, with Any Dream Will Do winner Lee Mead, says she's had no contact with Johnny since leaving Capital FM three years ago.

'I haven't heard from him.  Not when I got married or fell pregnant or anything...' Denise told 5 Live.

'It's a shame because we were really good friends. I did try and speak to him since I left but he kind of blocked me.'

Johnny Vaughan now hosts the Capital Breakfast with model Lisa Snowdon.
