On what should have been the perfect wedding day for Michael Bublé and Luisana Lopilato, burglars broke into their Buenos Aires home.

As the newlyweds celebrated their marriage in a lavish country mansion with 300 friends and family, they were blissfully unaware that heartless robbers were trashing their house.

Luisana's father Eduardo Lopilato lives next door to the couple and was shocked by the destruction the intruders caused.

'They forced a gate to get in and turned the place upside-down,' he tells the Daily Mirror.

'They even threw a video in the swimming pool.'

The thieves managed to blot out CCTV cameras and disable the alarm system before stealing cash and three flat-screen TVs.

Michael and his bride returned to the crime scene to view the damage but 23-year-old Luisana was determined not to let it spoil her special day.

'I will not let this ruin the happiest day of my life,' she told local press, reports Radar Online.

And she took to Twitter to let worried fans know she and new hubby Michael Bublé, 35, were okay.

'Gente tranquila! Es verdad en mi entraron a robar, no se llevaron nada de valor, mas que objetos de la casa,' she Tweeted, which roughly translates as: 'Calm people! It's true we were robbed, they didn't take anything of value, just household objects.'
