Gruelling workouts, 3,000 sit-ups a week, even using sex as a fitness tool - there was a time when it seemed Mel B's life was utterly dominated by exercise.
We spoke to Mel, 35, just before she announced her pregnancy and noticed she was definitely sporting a softer, shapelier figure...
'I'll always have a six-pack and abs whether I'm curvier or not,' she told us. 'It's my body - if I didn't like it I'd be screwed!
'At times I'll do 300 sit-ups a day but I've got a new machine where I only do 100.
'That's not really a lot once you get going and get into the zone. I work out at least two or three times a week, whether it's
running or doing a class.'
Mel and husband Stephen Belafonte, 35, have a gym at home in LA but the couple don't work out together.
'He's been up to it a few times, but he just messes about,' she says. 'It's kind of funny.'
Mel's the face of International Fitness Week and is travelling the globe to inspire people to be more active and lead a healthier lifestyle.
