Melanie Brown and Stephen Belafonte are thrilled to be pregnant

Scary Spice Melanie Brown and husband Stephen Belafonte will welcome their first child together this summer.

Mel is already mum to two daughters - Phoenix, 12, with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar and Angel Iris, 3, with actor Eddie Murphy.

'I just want the baby to be healthy!' says Mel, 'but 'I'd like a boy!'

Film producer Stephen is also dad to Giselle, 6, and the couple, both 35, are thrilled to be adding to their family. 

'We're really happily married, and we're both very much in love,' Stephen tells Hello!

'And it as one of those things that we really thought about and took our time over.

'And we made sure that the kids were completely secure and excited and happy about it also.' 

Mel B's announcement means that 3 of the Spice Girls are pregnant - with Victoria Beckham and Emma Bunton also expecting.
