Radio 1 DJs Chris Moyles and Comedy Dave Vitty are attempting to broadcast for as long as they can without sleep to raise money for Comic Relief.
The exhausted comedy duo began their record attempt on Wednesday at 6.30am and have so far raised over £640,000.
'Hopefully if I get too knackered I'll go off and have a half-hour kip,' Chris told the Daily Mirror before the start of his on-air marathon.
'And I'm going to have lots of freezing cold showers.
'But I can't drink on air and it is going to be St Paddy's night which is a p*sser.'
Chris and Dave, 36, are trying to last for 37 hours, which is the record for Radio 1's longest show.
They'll then be holding their eyes open to try and stay up and entertain the nation for 50 hours - The Guinness World Record for hosting the longest music show by a radio team.
'Off to bed. Quite a big day tomorrow,' Chris, 37, Tweeted on Tuesday evening. ' ... And Thursday... And maybe Friday. Stick your radio, or tv red button on tomorrow.'
Joining into the spirit of Comic Relief, fellow DJ Greg James got naked for 3 minutes for Chris and Dave this afternoon - with only a large red nose and a mouse mat to cover his modesty.
