Cheryl Cole's LA meltdown

Locked away in her hotel room for days, Cheryl's binge eating on KFC and McDonald's

Cheryl Cole is feeling lonely

Things have gone from bad to worse for Cheryl Cole.

On the surface she's got it all - good looks and a successful career - but behind closed doors Cheryl's struggling with feelings of loneliness and abandonment as her world turns upside down.

Looking sad and puffy-faced at her LA hotel last week, Now's learnt the 27-year-old's been in constant floods of tears and making heartbreaking calls to her mum Joan.

Desperately trying to cope, Cheryl - who's attempting to quit smoking - has turned to comfort food, bingeing on chips, delivery pizza and KFC. 

'Cheryl's in a bad place emotionally at the moment,' reveals a friend.

'She feels like the world' against her and nothing's going right.'

A source close to her official camp insists she's not having a meltdown or feeling ill and is busy working.
