Cheryl Cole wore a chic monochrome outfit and a demure up-do for her meeting with Prince Charles yesterday.
The X Factor judge, who grew up in Newcastle, visited Clarence House for tea to discuss her plans for the The Cheryl Cole Foundation, which will support the work of the Prince's Trust charity and help needy teenagers in the North East.
'I have always been a great admirer of the work The Prince's Trust does with disadvantaged young people across the UK,' says Cheryl, 27.
'It's the perfect charity for my foundation to support.'
Cheryl's involvement is expected to give Prince Charles' charity - founded in 1976 to help young people avoid crime, quitting school and long-term unemployment - a multi-million pound boost.
'Too many young people grow up thinking no-one cares and don't believe they can make anything of themselves,' says the Georgie singer.
'They have so much potential - but can go off the rails without the right care and support.
'I want my foundation to help them realise their potential and get their lives on track.'
