Dominic Cork gets the boot from Dancing On Ice

England cricket star is the sixth celeb to leave the competition

Dominic Corc says he will miss skating partner Alexandra Schauman

Former England cricketer Dominic Cork was the sixth celebrity to leave Dancing On Ice last night.

Dominic found himself in the skate-off with cheeky presenter Jeff Brazier, and in a twist introduced by the show's producers, the final vote was left to the contestants, not the judges, this week.

The majority voted for Jeff to stay, with Dominic losing 6 votes to 3, despite Jeff taking a tumble earlier on in the show.

'It was tough for everybody, you could see the emotion, the raw emotion, and in a way we just felt like we got the easy option because we didn't have to choose,' Dominic, who was partnerd by Alexandra Schauman, admitted.

'For me I thought it was good entertainment and I think that's what that show's all about.'

Dominic, 39, had faced criticism from the judges from the offset.

'The thing I like about your performance, is when it's over,' Jason Gardiner told him.

But the sportsman feels he improved a lot during his short stint on the show.

'When I think of where we came from - you know, when I first met Alexandra I was holding onto the advertising boards,' he told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning today.

'And the one most emotional thing about it is that I'll miss her.'
