Cristiano Ronaldo hopes he's fathered a future football star

Cristiano Ronaldo may be a mega-rich football star but even he's not exempt from his fatherly duties.

The Real Madrid hunk, whose love child son was born six months ago, isn't afraid to get his hands dirty.  

'Of course I change the nappies,' says Cristiano, 25.

'It's not the thing I like best in the world, but I do it.'

The identity of baby Cristiano Jr's mother is being kept under wraps, but she's believed to be a British student. 

Cristiano, who's loved up with Russian underwear model Irina Shayk, 24, is keen to get his little boy following in his footsteps - quite literally. 

'I would love him to like football and for him to be my successor, but we'll see what happens,' he tells Spanish sports daily Marca.

'My son will be whatever he wants.'

Cristiano announced his parenthood in July on Facebook.

'It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become father to a baby boy,' he told fans.

'As agreed with the baby's mother, who prefers to have her identity kept confidential, my son will be under my exclusive guardianship.

'No further information will be provided on this subject and I request everyone to fully respect my right to privacy (and that of the child) at least on issues as personal as these are.'

The footballer's mother Dolores is helping to raise her grandson.
