Movie bosses are eager to rope in The Mummy star to play opposite Daniel Craig

James Bond bosses want Rachel
Weisz to star alongside her lover Daniel
Craig in the next 007 film - but not as a Bond Girl.

Instead, producers are keen for Rachel, 40, to play Bond's arch enemy - the head of the mysterious and sinister organisation from Casino Royale and Quantum Of Solace.

'Casting Rachel was going to be a surprise twist as everyone would assume she'd be a Bond girl when really she would play a villain,' an insider tells The Sun.

'But the fly in the ointment is that they are now dating.'

It's feared that Rachel would turn down any offered role, because of her love affair with Daniel, 42.

Pre-production for the next 007 film is now under way. It is expected to come out next year.
