Alicia Silverstone and Selma Blair can swap baby stories

Alicia Silverstone and Selma Blair both announced their pregnancies at the weekend.

Alicia is expecting her first child with rocker husband Christopher Jarecki.

The 34-year-old Hollywood actress tied the knot with Christopher in June 2005 after eight years together.

'I've been wanting to have a baby since I was 2-years-old,' the Clueless star has admitted.

'I'm destined to be a mother.'

Alicia is set to appear in two new movies this year -  teen romance Homework, which will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, and quirky comedy Butter.

Selma Blair is expecting her first child with fashion designer boyfriend Jason Bleick.

Selma, 38, has reportedly been dating the EVER fashion designer for about a year.

'They are ecstatic. They couldn't be happier,' a friend of the couple tells People.

Selma shot to fame after she played the innocent girlfriend of Ryan Phillippe in 1999's Cruel Intentions - winning an MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss for her saucy on-screen snog with co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar.

She is next set to appear in romantic drama Dark Horse, with Christopher Walken later this year.

Reps for both actresses confirmed the happy news.
