Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have become the proud parents of a baby boy.

The Victoria's Secret model gave birth to the couple's first child in a Los Angeles hospital late on Thursday.

Orlando, 33, and Miranda, 27, announced their engagement in June last year, married in July and announced the pregnancy soon afterwards

'I've always been open about wanting to be a mother one day and I've always thought Orlando would be a great dad,' Miranda told the Sydney Morning Herald.

'I
think having children and pregnancy is part of life. I look at how
models like Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio have done
it and made it part of their lives.'
