Simon Cowell responds to knighthood rumours

X Factor judge Simon Cowell not expecting to be honoured by Queen

Arise, Sir Simon Cowell?

Simon Cowell has played down his chances of receiving a knighthood in the Queen's New Year's Honours list.

The X Factor judge has been tipped to become Sir Simon for his contribution to the music and entertainment industry and for his charity work.

But he jokes that he's more likely to be beheaded.

'No,' he told his ex Terri Seymour, reporting for Extra. 'It's not true.'

Simon is currently on holiday in Barbados.
