Colin Firth has been nominated for a Golden Globe for his star turn in The King's Speech.
The film about George VI has been given a total of seven nominations, with leading man Colin, 50, one of the favourites to win Best Actor for his role as the stuttering king.
Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush are also up for gongs for their supporting roles, as is director Tom Hooper.
The film is joined in the hotly contested Best Drama category by the psycho-sexual dance thriller Black Swan, the boxing saga The Fighter, Inception and The Social Network.
Nominees in the Globes' other Best Picture category, for musical or comedy, are Alice In Wonderland, Burlesque, The Kids Are All Right, Red and The Tourist.
Other Brits up for awards include Danny Boyle for the screenplay 127 Hours, actress Hayley Atwell for her role in TV mini-series Pillars Of The Earth, and national treasure Dame Judi Dench for Return To Cranford.
Funny-man Ricky Gervais will return as host of the Globes ceremony, which takes place in January.
