BABY JOY! Patsy Palmer gives birth to fourth child a month early

EastEnders star Patsy Palmer expected to stay in hospital with new son Bertie for a few weeks

Patsy Palmer and husband Richard Merkell have a new son.

The EastEnders star gave birth to baby Bertie last week - a month early.

Patsy, 38, has been in hospital for 3 weeks after having a pregnancy scare.

'Her waters broke a few weeks ago and she was rushed to hospital,' a source tells The Sun.

'To be on the safe side she stayed in. Bertie arrived last Wednesday and the family are all over the moon.'

Because of his early arrival, Bertie is expected to stay in hospital for a few weeks.

Patsy and Richard are already parents to Fenton, 9, and Emilia, 8.

She is also mum to Charley, 18, from a previous relationship.
