Kirsten Dunst knows how easy it is to get regularly blathered with your mates when you're young and unattached.

The Spider-Man actress says it's perfectly normal - and not just for those in showbiz.

‘When you're a single girl in your twenties you go out with your friends,' says Kirsten, 28.

‘And sometimes you drink too much. I don't know anybody else, with any kind of job, who doesn't do that.'

Kirsten, who had a stint at Cirque Lodge in Utah in 2008, had a reputation as a bit of a party girl before her treatment for depression.  

‘My friends and family were put in a position where they had to defend me,' she tells BlackBook magazine.

‘It was an awful time.'
