Singer has given birth

Rachel Stevens and Alex Bourne got married in August 2009

Former S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens and husband Alex Bourne are the proud parents of a new baby girl.

Rachel gave birth to little Amelie yesterday at London's Portland Hospital.

'Mother and baby are doing well,' says a spokesman.

Rachel, 32, and Alex got married at Claridge's Hotel in Mayfair in August 2009.

'Married life is really lovely,' the Strictly Come Dancing 2008 runner-up enthused earlier this year.

'Alex and I have a date night every week and we have to stick to it.

'You can get so busy and you really need quality time together.'
