Jessica Simpson is getting married to boyfriend Eric Johnson.

The singer has been dating the American footballer since May and now they're ready to take the next step. 

'Yes, we are excited to confirm that they are engaged!' her rep tells People.

Jessica's announcement comes a week after ex-husband Nick Lachey revealed he's getting married again. 

The singer proposed to his MTV presenter girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo, 29, near a beach in California.

'Hey all, if anyone's heard the rumors of my engagement, they are
absolutely true!' Nick, 36, announced on Twitter.

'Vanessa and I couldn't be happier. Thanks for all the
love.'

Nick and Vanessa, 29, have been dating since 2006. 

His divorce from Jessica, 30, was finalised in 2006.
