Lil Wayne released from jail
Lil Wayne is a free man
Lil Wayne has been released from jail.
The rapper, real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr, was freed from Rikers Island Prison in New York this morning.
He served 8 months of a 1-year jail term for a weapons possession charge, reports TMZ.
Lil Wayne, 28, pleaded guilty in October 2009 to charges arising from a 2007 arrest when a gun was found on his tour bus after a concert in Manhattan.
