Courteney Cox says pal Jennifer Aniston has been helping her deal with her split from husband David Arquette.

The couple - who are parents to Coco, 6 - are on a trial separation to save their marriage.

Jennifer, 41, has been using her experience following her divorce from Brad Pitt in 2005 to offer her best mate advice. 

‘A lot of really close friends are kind of going through this right now or, like Jennifer, gone through it,' explains Courteney.

‘I don't know what's going on in the planets but things are being shaken up and I don't know what's going to happen, but, yeah, Jennifer has been amazing.'

Last month, David, 39, revealed that he had a rebound fling with barmaid Jasmine Waltz, 28, after splitting from his wife.

But Courteney, 46, still hasn't given up on their relationship. 

‘I don't know what will happen but this is not like we're getting divorced,' she tells TV Week.

‘This is a separation and I think that takes a lot of courage. Whatever is supposed to happen will be the best thing for us.'

Friends star Courteney and David met in 1996 while filming Scream and they got married in June 1999 in San Francisco.
