Jackiey Budden says she'll never go back on drugs after reading daughter Jade Goody's autobiographies.
The recovering addict, 52, recently flicked through Forever In My Heart and Catch A Falling Star for the first time.
In the first book, Jade detailed how her mum was on drugs through much of her childhood.
The harrowing account has given Jackiey the strength to turn her life around for the sake of grandchildren Bobby, 7, and Freddie, 6.
'I don't need drugs,' she tells the Daily Star Sunday.
'Just to read those books, the strength they gave me, no way are those two boys going through what Jade went through...
'That is the
biggest guilty conscience I've had and will live with. But she would be
proud of me that I'm better with the boys.'
Big Brother star Jade died of cervical cancer in March 2009 aged 27.
