Mika has paid tribute to the medics who saved sister Paloma Penniman's life after she fell 50ft from a window and was impaled on railings.
The freak accident happened on 10 October at her home in Kensington shortly after she and the singer had returned from having dinner in London.
Paloma, 28, is believed to have lost her balance while sitting on a window ledge and fell on the railing spikes outside the property, impaling her legs and abdomen.
She was rushed to the Royal London Hospital in Whitecapel for emergency surgery by a helicopter team.
'We would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and kindness,' Mika, 27, writes on his website.
'Paloma is in a stable condition. She has undergone extensive surgery to her legs and surgery to her abdomen.
'We feel extremely lucky and we are eternally grateful to the helicopter response unit, doctors and nurses of the Royal London for saving her life.'
