Kara Tointon: I might go on a date with Strictly partner Artem Chigvintsev

Strictly Come Dancing partners Kara Tointon and Artem Chigvintsev will wait until end of series first

Artem Chigvintsev and Kara Tointon have bonded on Strictly Come Dancing

Kara Tointon is open to the idea of hooking up with her Strictly Come Dancing partner Artem Chigvintsev.

But the former EastEnders star wants to wait until the BBC series is over before they go on a date.

'We are spending a lot of time together,' Kara, 27, tells the Daily Mirror. 'Artem is a very kind person, he is brilliant and we are getting on really well.

'Will we go on a date when the show ends? We'll have to wait and see.  

'At the moment I just have to concentrate on the dance moves - they are harder than I thought.'

Kara has also been too sick to take things further with Artem, 28.

She bravely performed on Saturday's Strictly Come Dancing show despite having tonsillitis.

'She had to cut short rehearsals on Friday,' a BBC spokeswoman tells the Daily Express. 

Kara split from actor Joe Swash 4 months ago after 2 years of dating.
