Stephen Gately's ashes to be scattered on anniversary of death

Singer Stephen Gately's Boyzone bandmate Keith Duffy will attend ceremony

Singer Stephen Gately died in October 2009 at the age of 33

Stephen Gately's family will scatter his ashes in Ireland to mark the first anniversary of his death. 

The Boyzone singer, 33, passed away from an undiagnosed heart condition on 10 October 2009 at his holiday home in Majorca. 

Now an intimate ceremony is being planned next month to give Stephen a final send-off.

Bandmate Keith Duffy, 35, will attend and says the service will take place at a secret location.

'[It was] one of Stephen's favourite places,' he tells The Sun. 

The other Boyzone lads will be in Australia.
