Gay actress Kelly McGillis and Melanie Leis tie the knot in New Jersey

Kelly McGillis has married her long-term lesbian partner.

The actress, who starred opposite Tom Cruise in 1986 flick Top Gun, and Melanie Leis, 42, had a civil ceremony in New Jersey on Wednesday.

Kelly, 53, came out as gay in May 2009.

She divorced first husband Boyd Black in 1981 after 2 years of marriage. 

Kelly has daughters Kelsey Laure, 20, and Sonora Ashley, 17, from her 13-year marriage to Fred Tillian.
