Kerry Katona: I never thought I'd make it to 30

Reality star Kerry Katona is amazed at how she's managed to turn her life around

Kerry Katona celebrated her birthday earlier this month

Kerry Katona thought she'd be dead by now.

The I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! winner celebrated her 30th birthday last week and can't believe how far she's come since her drug-taking days.

'I never thought I'd make it to 30,' says Kerry. 'I thought I'd end up being a down-an-out or doing something stupid.

'Last year I didn't do anything at all on my birthday, it wasn't long after the drugs scandal. It was getting worse and worse. I thought, I'm better off dead.' 

Kerry has credited her new agent Claire Powell with helping turn her life around. 

'She is not just my manager,' she insists. 'She's like an older sister and the foster parent I've never had.'
