Lady Gaga has shocked fans yet again by appearing on the cover of Japanese Men's Vogue in a bikini constructed from raw steak.
Her 'meatkini' cover image is the latest in a long line of wacky get-ups, but Gaga's new costume has left some angry.
‘No matter how beautifully it is presented, flesh from a tortured animal is flesh from a tortured animal,' says Ingrid Newkirk, president of animal rights group PETA.
‘However you dress it up, meat represents bloody violence, torture and suffering.'
The Poker Face singer, 24, has never shied away from eccentric outfits, but some are cuter than others - as well has her edgy numbers, she has a Hello Kitty gown and a dress made up of Kermit frogs.
But Gaga - whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta - may be left fuming when she finds out she's not the first to model meat couture.
Designer Jia Crens attracted the wrath of vegetarian groups and animal rights activists when she attended a party in a dress made of bacon in 2009.
