Pilot aborts landing in Cairns as Dannii Minogue flies in with her son

Dannii Minogue is now safe

Dannii Minogue and son Ethan were involved in a plane drama in Australia this week.

The pilot of the Qantas jet that The X Factor judge was travelling on had to abort a landing at Cairns Airport at the last second because of poor weather conditions. 

The emergency manoeuvre left the passengers shaken. 

'We had the most terrible landing,' a source tells Metro. 'We were coming down to land and suddenly shot straight back up again.

'There was too much cloud and the pilot could not see the runway. It was all very scary.'

Fortunately, Dannii and Ethan, 2 months, are now safe.

The 38-year-old is in Queensland to film the judges' houses segment of The X Factor.
