Television mogul Simon Cowell thinks fellow X Factor judge Cheryl Cole is developing a new view of life after staring death in the face.
Simon reckons 27-year-old Cheryl has been counting her blessings since her recovery from a rare strain of malaria, despite the trauma of her divorce from Ashley.
‘No one wants to go through malaria, but she has definitely come out with a different perspective and I think you will see a sharp, focused Cheryl Cole when she returns to The X Factor,' he says.
‘She seems more focused and it was a wake-up call to her. At the end of the day your health is the most important thing.'
Simon, 50, has kept in close contact with Cheryl, who is now back in the UK and getting on with the judges' houses section fo the reality show.
‘We have spoken a lot,' Simon tells The Sun. ‘I think she is going to appreciate what she has and enjoy it more.'
