Vernon Kay has won back the trust of wife Tess Daly

TV presenter Vernon Kay says his marriage to Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly is back on track after a 'sex scandal' earlier this year.

Vern confessed to sending saucy text messages to five women, including Page 3 blonde Rhian Sugden, but after much grovelling and soul-searching, TV's golden couple have put the past behind them.

‘I always knew we'd get through it,' he says. ‘It wasn't going to destroy us. We did everything in the right way so we'd be able to carry on.

'I now know not to take anything for granted.'

Vernon, 36, and Tess, 41, didn't enjoy seeing intimate details of their relationship splashed across the tabloids following the revelations in Feburary.

The couple are mum and dad to daughters Phoebe, 5, and Amber, 1, and they decided to keep their fight for their love to themselves.

‘Prior to the texting thing we were - and still are - really private people,' Vern tells Fabulous. ‘When it all happened it was the first time that our personal lives were on the front pages.

‘I'm not the kind of person who washes his laundry in public and it's no one else's business, to be honest.'
