Michelle Bass reignites Big Brother race row

Big Brother's Michelle Bass is threatened with eviction after she is accused of racist and homophobic comments

Big Brother told Michelle Bass she could face eviction over her abusive language

Ultimate Big Brother housemate Michelle Bass has been reprimanded by BB producers after she made what could be construed as a racist and homophobic comment aimed at fellow contestants Victor Ebwua and Brian Dowling.

Michelle was talking to Brian, Victor and ‘Nasty' Nick Bateman when she looked Brian and Victor up and down and made the ‘offensive' remark.

‘It's blacks and all sorts tonight,' Michelle, 29, told them.

Brian tried to make light of her observation after an awkward silence settled on the group.

‘It's gays, blacks, villains and divas night,' he quipped.

Despite none of the other housemates complaining about her vocabulary, Michelle was quickly called to the Diary Room and threatened with eviction over her language.

She stormed back a few minutes later and furiously complained to Brian about her dressing down.

‘I didn't say any abusive words. I only used the correct terminology and I only said it because you said it and Victor said it,' Michelle ranted. 'I'm the least racist person you'll ever meet.'

‘Michelle, you've got nothing to worry about,' replied Brian, 32. ‘I wasn't offended by it because I said it too.'

He was later called to the Diary Room and also admonished for his language.

Ulrika Johnsson, 43, believes the producers were just being extra cautious after receiving so much criticism over the racist comments made by the late Jade Goody to Shilpa Shetty in 2007.

‘They want to cover their ar*es,' Ulrika told her housemates. ‘They can't have anything upsetting the last series.'

A Big Brother spokesman confirms: 'Brian and Michelle were reminded about the rules regarding unacceptable language.'
