Newlyweds Robbie Williams and Ayda Field had a night on the town last night, their first public outing since they married last month.

The couple - who tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at their Beverly Hills home on 7 August - went for a romantic meal at London restaurant Locanda Locatelli in Mayfair.

Showing off her toned legs and slim figure, Ayda wore a stunning lace mini dress and high heels while Robbie opted for a slightly more casual look, teaming jeans with a T-shirt and waistcoat.

With beaming smiles and holding hands, Robbie and actress Ayda looked more loved up than ever.

Robbie, 39, who has battled drug and alcohol addictions in the past, met Ayda, 31, shortly after checking out of rehab in the US in 2007.

'She makes me want to be a better person. And in the process, I have become a better person,' Robbie explained on his wedding day.

The singer and his new wife are in the UK while Robbie promotes his new single Shame and prepares for his performance at the Help For Heroes charity concert on 12 September.
