Amy Winehouse has invited close friend Pete Doherty to move into her spare room.
The singer is refurbishing a new home in Camden and reckons there's plenty of space for a pal.
‘Amy has offered Pete a place to stay while he's in London,' says an insider. 'She thinks a lot of him and they've been through a lot together.'
The pair have both been trying their best to stay clean and sober - Pete has his career back on track after The Libertines were a hit at the Reading Festival and Amy has been attempting to curb her partying lifestyle after hooking up with on-off boyfriend Reg Traviss.
However, friends are worried what the impact of Amy, 26, and Pete, 31, living together will be.
'Amy wants to help Pete out,' the source tells The Sun, 'but they are bad influences on each other.'
In May 2008, the duo were together at Pete's home in Wiltshire when they posted a controversial video of themselves on YouTube playing with baby mice and slurring their words.
Amy's father Mitch Winehouse has also made his feelings about Pete known, branding him ‘a scumbag'.
But the Back To Black singer is fond of the musician and was recently spotted on the VIP balcony at his comeback gig at The Forum in Kentish Town.
