Katie Price begs Alex Reid: Don't divorce me!

Jordan tells her husband she's not in love, admits they married too soon, but she won't risk split backlash...

Katie Price is desperate to stay married to Alex Reid

Her marriage to Peter Andre broke down after just three years, but in true Jordan style she swiftly dusted herself off and soon found another victim, ahem, husband in cage fighter Alex Reid.

But with the cracks in their marriage becoming ever more apparent, Jordan, 32, made an unprecedented move last week by publicly declaring in a statement that her marriage is solid and she's happier than ever.

Now can reveal that her defiant words actually came shortly after Alex reached the end of his tether.

He threatened to leave for good following a blazing row in which his wife shockingly admitted that
she isn't in love with him and married him on the rebound.

‘Alex and Katie were having one of their usual heated conversations, which took a turn for the worse when she told him she was rash to marry him and that even though she loves him she's not in love with him,' says a friend.

‘It really took Alex by surprise. It was one of the most hurtful things she's ever said.'

Soon after the row, Alex, 35, fled to his parents' Hampshire home, threatening not to return to the Sussex mansion he shares with his wife.

It was then that Jordan panicked and realised she'd pushed him too far.

‘It hit her that she couldn't afford for history to repeat itself with another messy divorce,' says the friend.

‘It was a reality check, so for the first time ever she bent over backwards to win Alex round, including telling the world that she believes in their marriage.'
