EXCLUSIVE John James: School bullies ruined my teenage dreams

The Aussie hunk wanted to join the police force but despaired

John James had a growth spurt and is now no short arse

Big Brother star John James Parton says his dislike of fellow contestant Rachael White was a gut reaction he couldn't control.

The Beyoncé lookalike reminded him of the Mean Girls at school who taunted him for being small and battered his self esteem.

In an exclusive interview with Now, John James recalls how the cruel barbs made him despair.

'I was really short at school. I didn't grow until I was 17 or 18,' John James, 25, recalls.

'I did cop shit off girls who'd take the piss out of me a bit. I wanted to work in the police force and at that time you had to be at least 5ft 8in and the girls used to say, you won't get in because you won't even reach 5ft 6in.

'That's how short I was!'

The way Rachael White starred at John reminded him of the sneers of his tormentors.

'That's why I had the problem with Rachael because she looked at people with the same look those girls used to give me,' he explains. 'It was an instant dislike for me.'
