Amir Khan: I did NOT say Cheryl Cole's relationship with Derek is a cover up

Boxer Amir Khan says he's been misquoted

Boxing champion Amir Khan insists he didn't claim Cheryl Cole and Derek Hough's relationship is a sham.

'I had dinner with Cheryl and Derek in LA last week. They're not going out,' he's quoted as saying. 'He's not her boyfriend.'

But Amir has now put the record straight.

'Goodluck to Cheryl Cole and Derek if they are together, just want to make it clear that I DID NOT say they are just freinds and its a cover up relationship,' he writes on Twitter.

'Dont know where they get these stories from I'm happy for them like everyone is. They busy with there lives like I am. AK.'

Derek, 25, has been linked to Cheryl, 27, since they starred together in the video for her single Parachute, but she has never spoken about the depth of her feelings for the Dancing With The Stars professional.
