Choreographer Brian Friedman says Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole is very happy

Brian Friedman is pleased for Cheryl Cole

Cheryl Cole and Derek Hough are having a hot romance, pal Brian Friedman believes.

The X Factor choreographer met up with the Girls Aloud singer and the Dancing With The Stars professional in LA.

'I'm very close to them both. I thought they would make a good couple and I'm so pleased to say they do,' Brian, 33, tells the Daily Mirror.

'They're very, very cute together. Cheryl and Derek both seem incredibly happy right now, that's all I can say.' 

Cheryl has been on holiday in the States with Derek, 25, for the past 2 weeks following her battle with malaria.

They have been linked since they starred together in the video for her single Parachute. 

Cheryl, 27, split from husband Ashley, 29, in February.
