Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres are lesbian

Portia de Rossi is to take wife Ellen DeGeneres' surname.

The actress filed papers at LA's Superior Court to change her name to Portia DeGeneres.

'Petitioner is taking the last name of her spouse,' reads the official document.

Portia, 37, and Ellen, 52, got married at their Beverly Hills home in August 2008.

They have been together since December 2004.
