Denise Welch: Viagra keeps my marriage strong

Loose Women star Denise Welch admits husband Tim Healy has been taking sex pill

Denise Welch has credited Viagra with keeping her marriage to Tim Healy on track. 

The Loose Women host married the actor, 59, in 1988 and admits the sex pill has boosted their love life. 

'Since Tim started taking it, our relationship has changed for the better and we are much happier,' explains Denise, 51.

'Ten years ago we used to do things like go away to Amsterdam for dirty weekends. Things are a bit more like that again, which is great for both of us.

'It's not all just down to the Viagra of course. But it's certainly been a factor.'

But Denise jokes there's a downside to taking the tablets. 

'All I worry about is that Tim doesn't mix up the Viagra with his sleeping pills,' she tells the Sunday People. 'We'd have a few problems again then!'

Denise, who played barmaid Natalie Barnes in Coronation Street, had a 5-month affair with carpenter Steve Murray, 41, after they met on BBC show Down To Earth in 2004. 

She and Tim are parents to sons Matthew, 22, and Louis, 9.
