Kourtney Kardashian: Breastfeeding has helped me lose weight

Reality star thinks breast is best for bonding with your baby

Kourtney Kardashian has entered the debate on breastfeeding.

The socialite reveals she thinks nursing her child has helped her shift her baby weight.

'Breastfeeding helped me bounce back into shape, for sure,' she says.

The star of Keeping Up With The Kardashians gave birth to son Mason in December 2009 and also believes breastfeeding has helped her develop a stronger bond with the little boy.

'[Breastfeeding] is an amazing bonding time,' Kourtney, 31, tells Baby Couture.

'[It's] obviously so natural and healthy for both of us.'

Kourtney's comments come days after Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen admitted she thinks all new mums should be forced to breastfeed for the first half of their baby's lives.

'I think there should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months,' Gisele, 30, told Harper's Bazaar.

Many mothers who don't persevere do feel guilty about abandoning the breast.

TV presenter Denise Van Outen, 36, gave up breastfeeding baby daughter Betsy after less than a month.

'I probably should have persevered a bit longer than three weeks,' Denise told She.

'But I can't be sitting in Starbucks and breastfeeding, because they [paparazzi photographers] are taking pictures.'
