Lady Gaga: I take cocaine but don't copy me

But singer doesn't want fans to follow her example

Lady Gaga's real name is Stefani Germanotta

Lady Gaga admits that she takes drugs occasionally.

The singer, real name Stefani Germanotta, has dabbled with cocaine.

'I won't lie; it's occasional,' says Lady Gaga, 24. 

'I mean maybe a couple of times a year.' 

But Lady Gaga hopes her supporters won't follow her example.

'I do not want my fans to ever emulate that or be that way,' she tells Vanity Fair. 

Lady Gaga has previously admitted that she had a drug problem when she was a struggling artist in New York.

'I was able to stop, because I was panicking more on the drugs than I was sober,' she told The Observer. 'I'm fine now.'
