Angelina Jolie to star as Elizabeth Taylor in new film

Angelina Jolie will play Elizabeth Taylor, who is now 78

Angelina Jolie is to star in a biopic about Elizabeth Taylor.

The film, to be directed by Mike Nichols, will be based on the book Furious Love by Sam Kashner and Nancy Schoenberger.

‘I'm fascinated by her and the mystery and mystique that have always surrounded her. We haven't got a script yet but as soon as we have something good enough we'll make it,' Angelina, 35, tells the Sunday Express.

Elizabeth Taylor, 78, is famous for her acting talent and beauty as well as her Hollywood lifestyle including eight marriages to seven men.

Russell Crowe, Clive Owen and Colin Farrell are rumoured to be in the running to play Richard Burton, who Liz married twice.
