Actress takes control as she fights breast cancer

Bernie Nolan is bald and beautiful

Bernie Nolan is glad she made the decision to shave off all her hair as she continues to battle breast cancer.

The singer and actress, 49, was fed up of her locks falling out from chemotherapy.

‘I might look like something out of Star Trek but I'm winning the fight of my life!' says Bernie. 

'My hair was hanging off in patches. I thought sod this and got the clippers. 

'It felt like I was taking control, saying, "Screw this. I'm in charge." It was liberating.' 

Bernie - a member of all-sibling group The Nolans - was diagnosed with the disease in April. 

Her sisters Anne and Linda Nolan have previously overcome breast cancer.
