Heidi Montag files for divorce from Spencer Pratt

The Hills star cites irreconcilable differences

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt split in June

Heidi Montag has filed for divorce from Spencer Pratt.

The Hills star - who announced the split in June - cited irreconcilable differences in papers lodged at a California court last week.

'Heidi has amended her petition for separation and has filed a petition for dissolution of marriage from Spencer Pratt,' her lawyer Jodeane Farrell tells People.

'The couple has agreed they would like their divorce to be finalised in a timely manner in an out-of-court settlement.

'Both parties are amicable with each other and over the possibility of finalising their divorce.'

Heidi, 23, and Spencer, 26, got married in California in April 2009.
