Katy Perry and Cheryl Cole met on The X Factor

Katy Perry is the latest star to swept up by Cheryl Cole's charms.

Cheryl and Katy met while working on The X Factor earlier this year, and Katy was definitely a big Cheryl fan by the end of the experience.

'The most gorgeous judge is Cheryl Cole. That woman is just edible,' she tells Q Magazine.

'She kept calling me...what was it? Popette? "You're a popette."

'She kept saying that to me, is that a compliment? It is? I love Cheryl.

'She's got a whole other version of English going on.'

Katy, 25, appeared on the show as a guest judge while Dannii Minogue is taking time off for maternity leave.
