Hugh Laurie to release New Orleans blues album

Actor Hugh Laurie is turning his hand to music

Hugh Laurie is excited about making his album

Hugh Laurie has signed a deal with Warner Music to record a New Orleans style blues album.

The House star - who taught himself to play the guitar and piano - will release the LP in the autumn.

‘I'm drunk with excitement at this opportunity,' says Hugh, 51.

‘I know the history of actors making music is a chequered one. But I promise no one will get hurt.'

When Hugh is not busy filming, he performs with charity group Band From TV alongside Desperate Housewives star James Denton.
