Lindsay Lohan is struggling to cope in jail, according to her lawyer.
Shawn Chapman Holley visited the actress, 24, at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, on Tuesday.
‘Understandably, Lindsay's having a difficult time adjusting as it would be for anyone,' she tells People.
‘She's trying to make the necessary adjustments to an extremely stressful and difficult situation. There were some tears.
‘Generally, the first two days in jail are the most difficult. I just kept reminding her of that. She's doing the best she can. Her spirits aren't high.'
Lindsay is being kept in a special segregated unit as she serves her 90-day sentence for violating the terms of her probation from a 2007 case.
She is expected to be released in 2 weeks because of overcrowding.
Yesterday, her mum Dina and sister Ali visited the prison for over an hour.
It is not known if they got to see Lindsay, 24, as visiting hours for family and friends are on weekends.
