Lindsay Lohan to only serve 14 days of jail sentence

Actress to be released early because of overcrowding

Lindsay Lohan started her jail sentence yesterday

Lindsay Lohan will only serve 2 weeks in prison - because of overcrowding.

The actress, 24, has been sentenced to 90 days in Lynwood Correctional Facility for violating the terms of her probation from a 2007 case.

'She is scheduled to be released on either August 1 or 2 for overcrowding issues and good behavior,' LA Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore tells People.

Lindsay - who was pictured in an orange jumpsuit for a mugshot just moments after arriving at the facility - is serving her time in isolation.

She spent just 84 minutes of a one-day sentence behind bars in November 2007.
