Sandra Bullock gets restraining order against 'stalker'

Thomas James Weldon must stay away from actress

Sandra Bullock won a Best Actress Oscar for her role in The Blind Side

Sandra Bullock has been granted a temporary restraining order against a fan.

The Oscar-winning actress's lawyer appeared at Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday and alleged Thomas James Weldon, 41, has been stalking her since 2003.

Sandra, 45, had previously taken an order out against him 7 years ago - but that expired in 2009.

The new restraining order also seeks to protect her 7-month-old adopted son Louis Bardo.

Weldon is due back in court on 6 August, when a judge will decide whether to extend the temporary order to 3 years.

Sandra finalised her divorce from husband Jesse James, 41, last month.
